MELAKA: A 44-year-old cyclist died on the spot after being hit by a car on Jalan Klebang here at 3.15am on Thursday (Dec 28).
Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit identified the victim as Foo Seck Sim from Jalan Pantai Emas, Klebang Besar.
He said the 34-year-old driver of the car claimed he could not see the cyclist due to the street having no lights.
He added that an investigation had been initiated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
