Body found in Rawang, three suspects arrested, four more at large

GOMBAK: The body of a man was found after a neighbour overheard commotion and talk about hiding a dead body.

Acting Gombak OCPD Supt Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir, in a statement on Sunday (Dec 24), said that the 27-year-old complainant had told the police that she had overheard an argument that had occurred at her neighbour's house in Sungai Choh, Rawang on Saturday.

Then, later in the day, she overheard a conversation between her husband and the neighbour's brother-in-law, where they talked about helping bury a dead body.

"The police then arrested two men, aged 29 and 33, as well as a 32-year-old woman that we believe is involved in this incident. "Preliminary investigations led to the discovery of a male body that was buried near some shrubs," he said.

The suspects that were arrested are all related to one another.

It is believed that four more suspects are still at large, including the victim's girlfriend and her brother.

The victim was also believed to have been beaten to death with weapons, including a glass bottle and metal tong.

"All have been remanded for seven days," he said.

The case is currently being investigated for murder.
