Zayn Rayyan murder: Forensics team at scene as cops conduct re-enactment with child witnesses


PETALING JAYA: Police forensic personnel were seen at Block R of the Idaman Apartment on Friday (Dec 15) morning near where Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin was last seen.

A group of police investigators was also seen with two children, believed to be the ones who last saw the autistic boy before he was found murdered near the apartment.

It is learnt that police are conducting a re-enactment with the two children.

On Thursday (Dec 14), police said they had identified two child witnesses during the mass screening of residents at the apartments in Damansara Damai here.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the two were identified from the mass screening at the second and third levels of Block R.

Comm Hussein also said police have recorded a total of 86 statements in the course of the investigation.

He also added that a total of 238 DNA samples have been collected so far.

Zayn Rayyan, six, was reported missing on Dec 5 and his body was found the following day in a stream about 200m from where he lived.
