Zayn Rayyan was a special boy liked by all, says grandfather


PETALING JAYA: Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin’s grandfather cannot hold back his tears whenever he looks at pictures of his grandson.

Zahari Mohd Reba said the six-year-old was a special boy liked by everyone.

Zahari said that before Zayn Rayyan's death, his grandson would visit every weekend.

“As soon as he walked through the door, he would find his Tok Ayah (grandfather) first and kiss me.

“How special you were Zayn, everyone liked you.

“I cannot bear to look at your face.

“Whenever I see your photos of your face, my tears fall to the floor,” Zahari wrote on Facebook on Tuesday (Dec 12).

He also said he accepted what had happened as fate and that God loved Zayn Rayyan more, adding that the whole family also loved and missed him dearly.

Meanwhile, efforts to search for Zayn Rayyan’s killer are ongoing, with the police draining the stream where his body was found to search for new clues.

Zayn Rayyan, who was autistic, was found dead on Dec 6, about 34 hours after his reported disappearance.

His body was discovered in a stream near his home at Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai at about 10pm.

His death was classified as a homicide after a post-mortem revealed injuries on the child's neck and body.
