Leave unity government if you are insincere, PKR leader tells critics

PETALING JAYA: Component parties under the unity government should leave the coalition if they are insincere about working together, said a PKR leader.

Selangor PKR Youth Chief Muhammad Izuan Ahmad Kasim, without referring to any party, mentioned that there were certain component parties under the unity government making “noises” in its general meeting.

“If you are insincere in being together with us, just leave.

“There is no need to be a thorn in our flesh,” Muhammad Izuan said during his speech at the PKR Youth congress on Saturday (Nov 25).

It is believed that Muhammad Izuan was referring to MIC deputy president Datuk Seri M. Saravanan’s speech last week saying that MIC will not hesitate to take further action if they are not recognised by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

However, Saravanan did not specify what further actions that MIC would take.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Izuan urged PKR Youth leaders to use social media to quash all untrue allegations against Anwar.

“PKR Youth is the front line and we are the one's defending the presidential institution. Don’t let our president be insulted and slandered.

“Pick up your phones and be a cyber-trooper to quash slander towards our president. Because, who else will defend the PM if it isn’t us?” asked Muhamamad Izuan.

The PKR Youth and Wanita wings concluded its meeting on Saturday (Nov 25) evening and the party began its central national congress later that evening.

Anwar is also scheduled to deliver his officiating speech as party president later.

The PKR National Congress will carry on with debates until Sunday (Nov 26) evening
