Anwar's former aide to lodge police report against Armada chief

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak (pic) will lodge a police report against Bersatu youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayshal Wan Ahmad Kamal for claiming he was involved in enticing Opposition MPs to support the government.

The former political aide to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said he would also reserve his right to file a civil suit against the Machang MP over the allegations.

"In light of this, I will lodge a police report so further action can be taken by the police against Wan Ahmad Fayshal.

"I strongly deny the baseless allegations made against me. I have no knowledge of the claims," he said in a statement on Tuesday (Nov 14).

He added that the accusations were made in bad faith without any proof.

"I have been out of politics for a while, and am only living my life as a businessperson.

"I don’t understand why Wan Ahmad Fayshal made such claims against me," he added.

Earlier Tuesday, the Bersatu Armada (youth wing) chief claimed there was an organised move by unity government leaders to woo the party's lawmakers with promises of financial assistance for their constituents.

He said there was also a supposed video of a bald individual threatening Opposition MPs to support the Prime Minister, and that a former political secretary played a role in this situation.
