WHETHER it’s kuih, nasi bungkus or drinks, each of the 50 varieties of prepacked traditional breakfast fare is sold for just RM1 at a stall in Kampung Kepong, Kuala Terengganu, reported Harian Metro.
Trader Muhammad Amirul Hafizuddin Mohd Zabri, 20, said he is determined to sell affordable food amid rising cost.
“It’s been two years since I started this small business and although it’s not very profitable, I’m glad I can help people in need,” he said.
Amirul Hafizuddin said he was inspired by another food stall in his school which also sold all types of food at RM1.
“I am confident my affordable food can help families who might have a tight budget,” he added.
The young trader said his customers are happy with his food.
“As long as customers love my food, it’s still worthwhile even if the profit is not high,” he said.
> The much-anticipated musical performance by celebrity siblings Shila Amzah and Syahir Amzah did not go as planned after the former faced technical issues with her microphone, Kosmo! reported.
Shila, whose real name is Nurshahila Amir Amzah, 33, could not be heard on stage during the siblings’ performance of a song titled Menggegar Dunia at the Glenmarie Studio in the first week of the Famili Duo concert.
However, the jury praised her brother Syahir, 28, after he managed to deliver a mesmerising performance without his elder sister.
“Syahir was calm and composed and did not panic despite the technical issues. He was professional and continued on with the show,” said jury panelist Mas Idayu.
Another panellist also praised Syahir for maintaining composure despite the technical issues.
Fans showed full support for the brother-sister duo.
Famili Duo is an eight-week-long singing competition which includes six teams battling it out for a grand prize of RM100,000 in cash.
