PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Awang Alik Jeman was appointed senior deputy secretary-general of the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM).
He was formerly JPM’s deputy secretary-general (Finance and Development), a post that was filled by Datuk Abdul Halim Hamzah, who is a former deputy secretary-general (Cabinet). Awang Alik, 56, who has a master’s degree in Public Administration from Universiti Malaya, has served in the public service for 25 years starting as an administrative and diplomatic officer in 1998.
