GEORGE TOWN: The traditional flavours of red bean and lotus paste for mooncakes are increasingly being challenged by bolder and creative fillings from manufacturers.
To cater to the young and health-conscious, one manufacturer, Leong Yin Pastry, has introduced flavours such as the “Baba Nyonya”, lychee with cranberry and yuzu, and six coarse grains with yam.
