80-year-old fruit seller stabbed to death in OUG

KUALA LUMPUR: A senior citizen who worked as a fruit seller was stabbed to death in front of a house in Taman OUG on Tuesday (Sept 26), says Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor.

In a statement Wednesday (Sept 27), the Brickfields OCPD said that the police were notified of the murder of the 80-year-old victim on Tuesday.

“According to a renter there, the victim, who worked as a fruit seller, was a frequent visitor who came over to collect fruits to be sold at the morning market,” he said.

Follow-up investigations led to the arrest of four people, aged between 29 and 53 years old.

“All are foreigners. We are still searching for more suspects,” ACP Amihizam said, adding that a motive has yet to be established.

The case is being investigated for murder.
