PETALING JAYA: Condolences have poured in on social media for Blake, the dog involved in the search for victims of the Batang Kali landslide after he was euthanised due to cancer.
"Blake fainted during operations at Batang Kali. Goodbye little one. Thanks for everything. Rest in peace. Love you baby," said Lin Yee.
Similarly, David Kiun also posted a tribute to Blake, who had been diagnosed with stage four lymphoma.
"Rest in peace lil one. U've done a great job and we're all so proud of all d great work you've done. Its time for u to rest & be w ur own kind across d rainbow bridge. May Blake rest in peace and reap the merits he gained from rescuing the many victims (sic),” he said.
Meanwhile, Dorai Raj said "Rip Hero Blake” while Jane Chin said "Eternal rest, Blake."
Blake was admitted to the pet dog ward at the University Putra Malaysia's Veterinary Faculty on Sept 14 when he suffered a loss of appetite and was lethargic.
The Veterinary Department in a statement on Monday (Sept 18) said that the cancer had spread aggressively.
