No issues affecting egg production in country, says farmers’ association

PETALING JAYA: There are no issues affecting egg production in the country, assured the Federation of Livestock Farmers' Association Malaysia (FLFAM).

It said the industry is also free from any serious outbreaks from poultry disease.

"FLFAM expresses confidence to Malaysians that there are no issues affecting egg production including freedom from serious outbreaks of poultry disease.

"Under these favourable conditions and the current good results of egg production, the industry will continue to meet and fulfil all supply demands of traders," it said in a statement on Tuesday (Sept 12).

The federation added that recent media reports on shortage of deliveries to retailers in the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia falls under the purview of traders within the supply chain.
