Campaign the 'Johor way': MB reminds by-election candidates to maintain public harmony

MUAR: Candidates and supporters of the Pulai and Simpang Jeram by-elections have been reminded to maintain public harmony throughout the campaign period.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi reminded those involved in the elections to stick to the 'Johor way'.

"As Mentri Besar, I would like to remind all parties involved to be mindful and proper while campaigning so harmony can be maintained.

"Do not let the overwhelming passion in these two weeks of campaigning make us follow the ways of our friends in other states.

"Johor has its own way and Bangsa Johor understand what I mean by this," he said after nomination day at Dewan Jubli Intan Sultan Ibrahim, Muar here.

Onn Hafiz was among a large crowd of supporters who accompanied Pakatan Harapan's candidate for the Simpang Jeram seat, Nazri Abdul Rahman, to the nomination centre here.

"The candidate is a professional local man with 30 years of experience in the Muar Municipal Council as an engineer.

"He already has a track record of serving the people of Muar, especially those in Simpang Jeram," he said.
