Health Department orders nine Machang eateries closed for two weeks

KOTA BHARU: Nine eateries in Machang have been ordered to cease operations for 14 days after the premises were found to have not met the standard of cleanliness stipulated under Section 11 of the Food Act 1983.

Kelantan State Health Department director Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin (pic) said the closure order was issued after the department’s Food Safety and Quality Division had carried out an operation yesterday involving 62 enforcement officers.
