PKNS eyes RM1bil in sales

BANGI: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) aims to reach RM1bil in sales next year for residential and industrial projects, says its deputy chief executive officer (property development) Md Kamarzan Md Rais.

He said the target could be achieved through 15 projects in five areas, namely Selangor Cyber Valley in Cyberjaya, Antara Gapi in Serendah, Kota Puteri in Rawang, Bandar Sierra Alam in Shah Alam and Kota Kemuning Industrial Area.

“PKNS is targeting RM1bil this year, but due to the slow economy, we have only achieved RM600mil in sales thus far. Hopefully, the economy will improve next year and we will be able to launch the projects as planned,” he told reporters after launching Discover PKNS@Selangor Cyber Valley here yesterday, reported Bernama.

PKNS was set up on Aug 1, 1965 under the Selangor State Development Corporation Enactment 1964 which acts as a housing, industrial, business and investment development agency.

Md Kamarzan said PKNS would actively organise promotional activities through the Discover PKNS programme as one of the promotional methods to attract public attention to the agency’s development projects.

Among the interesting activities are real estate exhibitions and free consultations related to housing loans.
