T’ganu Ruler honours 111 people in conjunction with birthday

KUALA TERENGGANU: Sultan of Terengganu Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin has conferred state honours on 111 individuals at Istana Syarqiyyah here.

The investiture was held in conjunction with His Royal Highness’ 61st birthday celebration.

Also present at the event yesterday were the Sultanah of Terengganu, Sultanah Nur Zahirah, and Terengganu Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.

Terengganu Land and Mines director Datuk Zulkifli Ali and Yen Tin managing director Datuk Tan Choo Meng led the list of recipients with the highest award of ‘Datuk Bergelar’.

It was followed by the conferment of the Darjah Kebesaran Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (SSMZ) award which carries the title of ‘Datuk Seri’ on two recipients, namely Terengganu State Secretary Tengku Farok Hussin Tengku Abdul Jalil and TSLAW Tower executive chairman Tan Sri Law Tien Seng.

Six recipients were conferred the Darjah Datuk Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Terengganu (DSMZ) award, while another 27 individuals received the Darjah Datuk Paduka Mahkota Terengganu (DPMT) honour. Both carry the title ‘Datuk’.

Bukit Aman Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department director Datuk Aidi Ismail was among the DSMZ recipients.

Sultan Mizan also conferred the Darjah Kebesaran Setia Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin (SMZ) award on 16 recipients, Setia Mahkota Terengganu (SMT) (10 recipients), Ahli Sultan Mizan Abidin Terengganu (AMZ) (12 recipients) and Ahli Mahkota Terengganu (AMT) (36 recipients). — Bernama
