Missing student found drowned in waterfall in Bentong


KUANTAN: The student who was reported missing while bathing at Chamang waterfall in Bentong was found drowned.

A Pahang Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said the body of Muhamad Akmal Husni Mohamad Ridzuan, 19, was found at 9.52am Friday (June 16) by members of the water rescue team, about 5m from where he was reported to have fallen on Thursday (June 15).

"The victim’s body was handed over to the police for further action,” he said when contacted here.

It was reported that the victim, who was a student at a religious school in Perak, was on a four-day camping trip with 14 other students that started on Wednesday (June 14). - Bernama
