PETALING JAYA: Social media users have slammed former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad for “his version” of the claim that Penang belongs to Kedah.
"Thank you for enlightening us; a payment of a RM10,000 lease a year to Kedah has become RM10mil," said Retnaguru Sandrakasan.
"If you don't want to be involved, why write long posts saying that you instructed the finance minister to do things and then blame them," said Alwyn David.

Similarly, Haslimi Saidin also questioned why Dr Mahathir was talking about the Penang issue now.
"When in power, why did you not help your own state," he asked.
Faiz Abd Rahman said that no one believes Dr Mahathir.
"History created by Dr Mahathir sounds like a fairy tale," said Rayner Awang.
Puan Shafiqah said while the former premier said that he had not wanted to be involved, he proceeded to write a comment “three pages long”.
