Power supply restored in Cameron Highlands

IPOH: Power supply has been fully restored in several areas in Cameron Highlands after a 90-minute blackout.

In a statement, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) said the power outage was due to a problem at one of its substations in Bintang.

"We would like to thank all our customers for being patient and understanding.

"Our technical team is on the ground carrying out repairs," it said in a statement on Thursday (June 1).

According to a TNB spokesman, the blackout occurred around 12.30pm and was fixed by 2pm.

Among the areas affected were Brinchang and Tanah Rata, he said.
