Parents file report against headmaster’s negligence


A GROUP of parents in Negri Sembilan have filed a police report against a Tamil school headmaster for an alleged lack of transparency in the handling of RM60,000 raised for the school, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The Mantin area Tamil school’s parent-teacher association (PTA) chairman,Vijayakumar Tharmalingam, said the headmaster refused to respond to the PTA’s queries regarding student welfare and education issues claiming that the allocated fund may have been mishandled.

> A student from Tamil Nadu, India, Keerthy Varma who excelled in Grade 10 exams despite losing both his hands after touching high voltage electrical wires, received state scholarships, Malaysia Nanban reported.

Even though both his hands had to be amputated due to that incident, he scored 437 points out of 500 in the Grade 10 exams.
