Pedestrian hit by car in Sandakan

KOTA KINABALU: A 23-year-old female pedestrian was injured when she was hit by a car on Jalan Seguntur Jaya Batu 11 in Sandakan on Wednesday (May 10).

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, they received an alert at 4.15pm about the accident that occurred when the driver car lost control of the car.

"The vehicle hit a pedestrian who fell unconscious after sustaining injuries.

"She was taken to the hospital by civilians.

"The 28-year-old female driver of the car and two passengers, another woman and a girl, escaped unhurt," said the spokesman.

The team proceeded to inspect the area to ensure no more risks before ending the operation, the spokesman added.
