Muda and PBM will be invited to unity govt convention, says Asyraf


PETALING JAYA: Muda and Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) will be invited to attend the first large-scale unity government national convention on May 14, says Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.

The unity government secretariat head said the convention was aimed at enhancing collaboration and ensuring stability among its components.

"Yes, all 19 parties," he told a press conference at Menara Dato Onn here on Friday (May 5) when asked if Muda and PBM would also be invited.

The theme of the convention will be "Madani Mewajahi Masa Depan Malaysia", and is expected to draw more than 10,000 people.

The event will start with two parallel sessions involving the component parties' women's and youth wings, followed by the national convention at 2pm.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to deliver an address at the convention.
