Get to KLIA four hours before flight, Malaysia Airlines advises Hari Raya travellers

PETALING JAYA: Those flying over the Hari Raya period are advised to get to the airport four hours before their flights are scheduled to take off, says Malaysia Airlines.

"Malaysia Airlines passengers travelling during the upcoming peak festive season, especially between April 17 to May 1, 2023, are advised to arrive at KL International Airport (KLIA) four hours ahead of their scheduled departure time to allow sufficient time for check-in procedures and necessary document checks at various touchpoints.

"Travellers choosing self-service check-in at KLIA, especially those flying to international destinations, are advised to verify their travel documents at the check-in counter.

"Immigration and security clearance processes are estimated to take around 45 minutes," it said in an advisory on its website.

Malaysia Airlines also encouraged travellers to wear face masks if they are high-risk passengers or have symptoms such as fever or coughing.
