FIVE priests drowned in a lake in Tamil Nadu while conducting prayers for a temple festival, reported Malaysia Nanban.
The five, who were volunteers, were among the more than two dozen priests conducting the deity-bathing ceremony at a temple near Chennai.
One of the priests apparently lost his footing and began struggling and the others who tried to help were dragged down one by one into the water.

The procession started at Lebuh Ampang at 8am and reached the temple 12 hours later after going through major roads in Kuala Lumpur.
