PUTRAJAYA: Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam Ahmad (pic) has been appointed as the secretary-general of the Works Ministry effective Tuesday (April 4), says Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Zuki Ali.

He was previously the Perlis State Secretary and had served as the secretary-general of the then-Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry.

In a statement released today, Mohd Zuki said Hasnol Zam Zam’s appointment was based on his qualifications and extensive experience in various fields, including human resource management and corporate management.

"I have full confidence that he will be able to carry out his responsibilities by continuing the ministry's vision to lead the development of the country’s infrastructure and construction industry," he said.

Hasnol Zam Zam graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from the University of Utah, USA, and a Master's Degree in Urban Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, USA, before joining the public service as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer on Dec 1, 1992. - Bernama
