Not paid his salary, irate employee attacks and hurts boss

JOHOR BARU: A speech- and hearing-impaired man has been arrested in an investigation into a quarrel that led to another man suffering injuries at Jalan Pertanian 26, Taman Universiti, Skudai, here.

Johor Baru North acting OCPD Supt Fariz Ammar Abdullah said the incident occurred at 10.56pm on Friday and the victim, a 45-year-old man, was found covered in blood.

“The victim is a lorry driver who suffered multiple injuries to his hands, face, and ears, believed to have been caused by a sharp object.

“The suspect, a 26-year-old man, was apprehended at 12.15am on Saturday at his house in Taman Universiti,” he said in a statement issued yesterday.

“The suspect was formerly employed by the victim as a driver.

“A background check revealed that the suspect has a criminal record involving drugs and other offences,” he said, adding that the suspect will be remanded until April 3.
