Maszlee to start lecturing again at University of Cyberjaya


PETALING JAYA: Dr Maszlee Malik is returning to lecturing, according to a post he made on his Facebook page.

Before entering politics in 2018 for GE14, the former education minister used to lecture at the International Islamic University.

"I will be giving lectures on selected topics in humanities and education-related subjects," said Maszlee in his post.

Maszlee was also formerly the MP for Simpang Renggam, a seat he won after he joined Bersatu in 2018.

He was then made education minister after Pakatan Harapan won the election and held the post for 20 months before resigning.

Maszlee objected to Bersatu joining Barisan Nasional and PAS to form a government after the Pakatan government's collapse in February 2020 and was subsequently sacked from the party.

He held on to his Simpang Renggam seat as an independent but promptly lost it to Barisan's Hasni Mohammad in GE15.
