Cops investigating Cheras petrol station theft


KUALA LUMPUR: Police are investigating a theft incident that was caught on camera at a petrol station here.

Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin, in a statement, said the theft occurred today (Feb 22) at around 9am at a petrol station in Cheras.

"One of the suspects ran away with the victim's bag, which was on the front passenger of her car. Losses have been estimated to be around RM500," he said.

Two suspects were believed to have been involved.

The video of the theft showed a helmeted suspect standing next to the victim's car.

He then snatched the bag when she unlocked her car to enter and sped off on a motorcycle while another followed suit from behind.
