Perikatan MPs to huddle in retreat for two days from now, says Hamzah

PETALING JAYA: Perikatan Nasional MPs are holding a two-day retreat beginning on Wednesday (Feb 1), said Opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

In a Facebook post, he said the retreat was to further strengthen Perikatan as a team to "champion the voice of the people".

"Beginning today (Feb 1), Perikatan MPs will be having a retreat.

"This is in line with the commitment of Perikatan to be a credible, mature opposition with high integrity to champion the voice of the people and act as a strong team in carrying out 'check and balance' duties towards the government," said Hamzah, with a poster of all Perikatan MPs accompanying the post.

Perikatan currently has 74 MPs in Dewan Rakyat from its component parties, including Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia and PAS.

PAS is currently the political party with the most number of MPs in Dewan Rakyat.
