Covid-19 Watch: 236 new cases bring total to 5,035,613


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 236 new Covid-19 cases on Friday (Jan 27), says the Health Ministry.

According to the ministry's KKMNow portal, 233 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 3 imported cases.

This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 5,035,613 cases since the pandemic began.

A total of 2 deaths were recorded on Friday with no cases of brought in dead, bringing the total to 36,938.
