Five Sabah BN reps retract call for Bung to step down

KOTA KINABALU: Five Sabah Barisan Nasional assemblymen have retracted their call for party chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin to resign.

In an amended statement on Saturday (Jan 7), they removed a paragraph where they demanded Bung step down as Sabah Umno chief for tarnishing the image of the party.

All other points in the statement, particularly where they declared that they still supported Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor as Chief Minister, remained.

The five assemblymen are Datuk Shahelmey Yahya (Tanjung Keramat assemblyman), Datuk Yusof Yacob (Sindumin), Datuk Jasni Daya (Pantai Dalit), Datuk Arshad Bistari (Tempasuk) and Datuk James Ratib (Sugut).
