Annuar says relieved at cooperating with MACC

KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Annuar Musa has given a statement to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) over allegations that Perikatan Nasional spent a large sum of money during the Sabah polls in 2020.

Annuar also said he was relieved that he had given his statement on the matter to the MACC last week.

“I feel relieved because once again, the slander is beyond my control. They said I took millions and took the money everywhere to ensure strong support for Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“When the MACC called me for questioning, I was willing and I gave the actual story.

“I also thanked them and I will continue cooperating with them (MACC),” he added.

On Dec 6, an investigation paper was opened to probe allegations by Annuar that a large sum of money believed to involve Muhyiddin was used to help Umno during the Sabah polls in 2020.

Annuar recently posted a video claiming that Muhyiddin, while holding the post as prime minister, had channelled millions of ringgit to assist Umno in the Sabah elections two years ago.
