KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional will consider suggestions to form a unity government with like-minded parties for the people and national stability, said the coalition secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin (pic).
Hamzah said this stance was decided during a special Perikatan supreme council meeting on Thursday (Nov 24) to discuss proposals to form a unity government.
"The meeting agreed to consider suggestions to form a unity government which involves discussions with like-minded parties for the well-being of the people and stability of the country," said Hamzah on Thursday (Nov 24).

Umno had said on Wednesday (Nov 24) that its supreme council unanimously decided to support and obey the King’s order for Barisan to support and partake in a unity government that was not led by Perikatan.
On Tuesday (Nov 22), Perikatan chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin rejected a proposal by the King to form a unity government with Pakatan.
Pakatan won 82 seats, Perikatan won 73, and Barisan won 30 seats in GE15.
