GE15: 'God of Prosperity' turns up to vote at Taman OUG

PETALING JAYA: Independent candidate Lian Choy Ling has turned up to vote at SJK(C) Yoke Nam in Taman OUG dressed as the God of Prosperity.

Lian - who is running for the Seputeh seat under the moniker "Choy San Yeh" which is Cantonese for the God of Prosperity - had spent RM200 to buy the costume two weeks ago.

Choy has remained elusive and on Nomination Day, she kept to herself and gave the impression she was an agent for the real candidate.

She is up against Pakatan Harapan's Teresa Kok, Barisan Nasional’s Lee Kah Hing, Perikatan Nasional’s Wong Yee Yeng, and independent candidate Lee Wai Hong.

In the 2018 general election, Kok won with 63,094 votes
