Body found floating in drain in KK

KOTA KINABALU: The body of a man was found floating in a drain at a parking lot in Tanjung Aru near here on Tuesday (Nov 15) morning.

The 43-year-old’s body was discovered by passers-by, who informed the cops about their discovery.

Kota Kinabalu OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaidi Abdullah said when contacted, the investigators had responded to the case.

"The deceased was found with some injuries on his forehead, believed to be from falling or knocking on something," he said.

He said there were no elements of foul play as yet.

ACP Zaidi said based on information gathered from the man’s wife, he had gone out a day earlier and did not return home.

He had rode out on his motorcycle, and the bike was found parked close to where he was found.

"We are investigating this case under the Sudden Death Report," he said.
