GE15: I'll still be PM if BN wins, says Ismail Sabri

SIBU: Caretaker Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yakob has played down talk that someone else will be prime minister if Barisan Nasional wins the 15th General Election (GE15).

"There are no issues on the prime minister post as this was decided after going through several levels in the party such as the Umno general assembly and even during grassroots branch meetings, where 156 out of 190 branches proposed for me to be prime minister after GE15," he said here.

Sabri, who is also Umno vice president, added that party president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi) has stated the same.

"The presidents of Barisan component parties such as MCA, MIC and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS) have also agreed. So a change in the prime minister will not happen and if there were to be, it will have to revert to the assembly," he said.
