GE15: Don't be fooled by dirty politics, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: Don’t fall for dirty politics and racial sentiments played up by the Opposition, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).

The Transport Minister said this during his speech in Kangkar Baru Sunday night (Nov 13), denouncing the opposition's claim by riling up racial sentiment.

“I am urging people not to be fooled by such sentiments and dirty politics because it will jeopardise the unity Malaysians have built all this time.

“Looking back when I first arrived in Kangkar Baru, I am reminded by the extraordinary multi-racial spirit, which is still very much present,” he said in a Facebook post on his official account.

Dr Wee later on headed to Yong Peng, where he celebrated Deepavali organised by the MIC Ayer Hitam division, together with Yong Peng Makmur Foundation.

He said the Indian community had not been left out from receiving any benefits ever since he became the Ayer Hitam representative.

“I have always prioritised, be it the welfare of the people, the development of schools and temples, facilitating community requests and implementing them,” he said.

Present at the event were Yong Peng assemblyman cum Johor Health and Unity Committee chairman Ling Tian Soon, MIC Ayer Hitam chairman Sujendren Subramaniam, MIC Johor Housing bureau cum MIC Parit Sulong chairman Kumaran Ramakrishnan and Makkal Sakti leaders.
