GE15: Batu MCA fully backs MIC candidate in effort to secure Barisan win

KUALA LUMPUR: Batu MCA is throwing its support behind MIC candidate Datuk A. Kohilan Pillay as the two parties put aside their differences to wrest back the urban parliamentary seat for Barisan Nasional in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Batu MCA chairman Lim Beng Hean said they would support the decision made by Barisan’s top leadership to nominate MIC’s Kohilan to contest the seat.

“At the end of the day, we are all under the Barisan family and everything we do will be in favour of the coalition.

“We will do our best to support the candidate during the campaigning period,” he said after lunch in Selayang on Thursday (Nov 10).

Kohilan said he was thankful for the support of the Batu MCA leadership and members.

“In every family, there are sometimes misunderstandings, but we are glad to be able to resolve this amicably,” he said.
