THE 4th REKA Interiors Exhibition (RiX), one of the most anticipated interior design exhibition in the region, was held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Oct 27-30.

Jointly organised by the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) and C.I.S, RiX was a semi-trade exhibition for industry practitioners including interior designers, product designers, specifiers, trade and business professionals as well as homeowners.

RiX was an event under MIID’s REKA Design Week 2022 (RDW) themed Design Forward – Moving Past the Pandemic and Into the Future, and organised by MIID REKA, the commercial arm of MIID.

RDW’s other programmes included the REKA Conference that brought together five local and international interior designers and architects to share their creativity and experience.

More than a mere trade exhibition, RiX was a platform whereby audiences could connect with established and recognised interior designers and exhibitors.

RiX provided a platform for the Malaysian interior design industry players to exhibit their products and services at the exhibition besides catering to the ever-increasing market’s need to be well-informed of the latest development in the industry.

“Acting as a bridge for innovative and creative design solutions for the exploration of creative and workable ideas, RiX enables experiments with the imagination and exposure of brands to a ready market while helping to connect discerning trade buyers and designers,” said MIID deputy president IDr Ooi Boon Seong who is organising chairman of RDW.

“RiX is curated by the industry’s leading designers from the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), and this represents the trade exhibition’s creative platform for the exploration of ideas to meet commercial and residential needs which represent creative and beautiful expressions of unparalleled design solutions.”

C.I.S president Datuk Vincent Lim said: “RiX presents an opportunity for exchange and inspiration while showcasing new products and creations launched by various companies. Ultimately, RiX is a special showcase that enables the celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, design thinking and emerging talents.

“RiX is held concurrently with HOMEDEC – being the iconic home design and interior exhibition aimed at enriching homeowners home shopping experience to a richer level while benefitting those who appreciate design of which they can freely explore at RiX.”

Visitors had access to both the RiX and HOMEDEC exhibitions at the KL Convention Centre.

The HOMEDEC exhibition was an avenue for people sourcing ideas and inspiration for home renovation or refurbishment while learning about the latest trends and ideas.
