PETALING JAYA: The tussle within Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) for the president's post has been resolved after a meeting between Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin and Datuk Larry Sng at the Registrar of Societies (ROS) office.

PBM said the party's top leadership in the spirit of consensus had succeeded in resolving the matter after meeting at the ROS office in Putrajaya on Wednesday morning (Nov 2).

It will now continue to exert its efforts in facing the 15th General Election (GE15), said PBM in a statement.

"In this meeting, the leadership of PBM had agreed to decide on the list of candidates for GE15 to represent the party which will be announced in the near future.

"It was also decided that Datuk Larry Sng would sign the letter for the candidates who are contesting," said PBM.

Sng also confirmed that the matter had been resolved on his Facebook account on Wednesday (Nov 2).

It added that other matters related to party administration will be discussed and resolved after GE15.

Last month, it was reported that Zuraida, who was formerly from Bersatu and PKR, had replaced Sng as PBM president, with the unanimous backing of the party’s supreme council.

However, Sng refuted the reports and insisted that he was still party president, a fact that the ROS later confirmed.

On Oct 28, Sng suspended Zuraida’s membership together with that of 12 other supreme council members.
