I received anonymous threats, says man who allegedly scolded tardy p-hailing rider

PETALING JAYA: A police report has been lodged by a man who says he received anonymous threats after allegedly scolding a food delivery rider for being late.

In a statement on Tuesday (Sept 27), Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid said the 27-year-old man filed the report the day before at district police headquarters here.

On Sept 23, a video clip began circulating online, said to show the complainant arguing with a p-hailing rider who had arrived late.

"Following the video spreading online, the complainant received numerous threatening messages from unknown individuals via social media," ACP Mohamad Fakhrudin said.

The case is being investigated under criminal intimidation by anonymous communication and for misusing network facilities.
