Hishammuddin is unconcerned about topping LGE's 'list'

KUALA LUMPUR: The end of the world can come and Lim Guan Eng will still never say that"I am a minister that does work," says Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Responding to the former finance minister's top 10 list of failed ministers, the Sembrong MP said that statements like these are normal in politics.

"In politics when someone issues such statements it shows that they are worried about what we have accomplished,” said Hishammuddin.

"If they don’t care about us that means we didn’t do our work.To Guan Eng, continue on talking. I know that even until the day of judgment comes he will never say that I am a successful minister," he added.

Previously the DAP president said that Hishammuddin topped his list of failed ministers following the Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) scandal.

Hishammuddin spoke to the media after a working visit to the Hospital Angkatan Tentera Tuanku Mizan in Wangsa Maju, with Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin.

During a press conference there on Tuesday (Sept 27), Hishammuddin announced that all five Armed Forces hospitals would undergo upgrades.

Upgrades would also be conducted at other Armed Forces medical facilities including the 19 RMATs (Rumah Sakit Angkatan Tentera) nationwide.
