Four held over murder in Tawau


KOTA KINABALU: Four people have been remanded to help in the investigations of the murder of a man in Tawau district; the police are also seeking four more people.

Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin said three people aged between 22 and 35 were remanded on Wednesday, while the fourth man was remanded yesterday.

“The Tawau Magistrate’s Court allowed a seven-day remand on the suspects,” he said yesterday.

A man was found in a pool of blood behind a bistro at Jalan Merdeka 3, Fajar in Tawau on Tuesday.

ACP Jasmin said police were still looking for four others.

“Any information can be sent to senior investigating officer Asst Supt Zamzarina Asri at 016-737 5868, or to the nearest police station.”
