Don’t bow to pressure, Anwar cautions PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Not ruling out the possibility of early polls, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has reminded the Prime Minister not to cave in to any “threats” by those embroiled in court cases while setting a date for the 15th General Election (GE15).

“There is a possibility (of early polls), but I have said that a prime minister cannot set the date of the election based on the threats of a small group and their interest in closing their court cases,” the Pakatan Harapan chairman told reporters after a town hall session with youths here yesterday.
