National Day: Celebrations a good showcase of patriotism, says Dr Wee


PETALING JAYA: The morning's National Day celebration at Dataran Merdeka is a showcase of the high patriotic spirit of Malaysians, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong. (pic)

"Well done to all who participated in the parade and performance. Very interesting and high on patriotic spirit," said the Transport Minister in a Facebook post on his official account.

In the post on Wednesday (Aug 31), Dr Wee said the celebration graced by Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah was well done.

He also congratulated all who participated.

"Congratulations also to the people who came to Dataran Merdeka early this morning to celebrate National Day 2022 together as well as all Malaysians who watched the live broadcast," said Dr Wee, who attended the celebrations with his wife.

Also present were Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Cabinet Ministers and Deputy Ministers, government and opposition members of Parliament, government officials, ambassadors and high commissioners of foreign embassies.
