US envoy congratulates Malaysia on National Day, 65 years of strong bilateral ties


PETALING JAYA: United States ambassador to Malaysia Brian McFeeters congratulated Malaysians on 65 years of independence and strong US-Malaysia ties.
He said the United States also looked forward to further enhancing strong relations towards a free Indo-Pacific
“On behalf of the United States, I would like to congratulate the people of Malaysia on their 65th Independence Day.
"This year, we are also celebrating the 65th year of diplomatic relations between the United States and Malaysia.
“Over the past 65 years, our countries have built a strong partnership rooted in close people-to-people, economic, health and security ties.
“We look forward to continuing our friendship and further enhancing our strong relations as we make progress towards our common goal of a free Indo-Pacific,” he said in a congratulatory video.
He added that ties between the two countries are stronger than ever and continue to deepen and expand over the years.
