PETALING JAYA: Job seekers are eager to explore a wide range of employment opportunities at the two-day myStarJob Fair at Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre.
Visitors who include students, fresh graduates and experienced workers arrived as early as 10.30am on Saturday (Aug 27) to discover new or better career prospects.
The myStar Job Fair 2022 and the Star Education Fair 2022 are held side-by-side at the convention centre today and tomorrow from 11am to 7pm.
Content creator Justine Liew Xintey, 24, who is from Subang Jaya said she is exploring other career opportunities to get a better idea of areas which she can venture into.
"I have more than two years of work experience but I'm still uncertain on what I really want to do. My interest is in the marketing field," she said.
She added that she took a career assessment survey at the job fair that revealed to her about her personality and the type of career she is most suited for.
"I'm happy that I took the assessment so I know the areas where I can improve," she said.
Human Resource executive Muhammad Hanif Mansor said he is exploring jobs that can offer him flexibility and work-life balance.
The 35-year-old from Puchong, who visited the job fair with his two children, said it would be helpful to find jobs that can offer remote working.
"I've surveyed a few companies and there are a number that offer good benefits," he said.
Business development freelancer Samron Dorai said he is at the job fair in hopes to find a permanent job.
The 28-year-old from Shah Alam was offered an interview on the spot for a project manager's position.
"It's very encouraging to be getting interview opportunities and knowing more about what these companies have to offer," he said.
