Ebit Lew to face trial on 11 sexual harassment charges next month, says the police

SHAH ALAM: Police confirm that celebrity preacher Ebit Lew will face trial on 11 counts of sexual harassment at the Tenom Magistrate's Court in Sabah from Sept 27 to 30.

Bukit Aman Corporate Communications head Asst Comm Skandaguru Anandan said that Lew, also known as Ebit Irawan Ibrahim, had previously been charged with the offences in February, Sinar Harian reported.

"The police confirm that Lew, who was charged with 11 counts of sexual harassment under Section 509 of the Penal Code in February, will face trial from Sept 27 to 30," Sinar Harian reported ACP Skandaguru as saying in a statement Saturday (Aug 27).

On Feb 18, 2022, Lew was brought to the Tenom Magistrate's Court where it is believed he was charged and pleaded not guilty.
