Najib jail watch: Bikers from PD come to see for themselves

KAJANG: The sound of high-powered motorcycles broke the silence near the Kajang Prison gate as a convoy of four motorists from Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan came to “verify” if former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak was indeed jailed here.

“I asked the guards if Najib was really here. They said ‘yes’ so that was it.

“We came just to see the prison that reportedly held Najib,” said one of the motorists who only wished to be known as Ganesh.

The 50-year-old added that they were happy that Najib had started his sentence.

“We’re happy... but we don’t want to explain why we are happy,” he told the media.

The group left after speaking to the press.

Earlier, only members of the media were seen gathering at the roadside near the entrance of Kajang Prison, waiting for any development.
