Police report lodged after shouting match at Immigration office

SHAH ALAM: A shouting match was caught on camera between an Immigration officer and a member of the public.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, when contacted, confirmed that a report was lodged by a man at the Sri Muda police station after the incident at the Kuala Selangor Immigration office.

"Investigations showed no criminal elements. The complainant lodged the report after feeling displeased at the treatment by the counter officer.

"The report has been referred to the Selangor Immigration Department for their internal investigation," he said.

A TikTok video of the incident, believed to have been taken on Aug 10, showed the man verbally sparring with the officer.

It is believed that he was unhappy with the delay over passport renewal and the officer's response when asked about the matter.
